Animal Man #15 Review

ANIMAL MAN #15
by Jeff Lemire and Steve Pugh with Timothy Green

Animal Man #15 just might be the best issue of AM yet.

Lemire fires on all cylinders in the latest issue of his hit series. When Frankenstein('s Monster) enters the fray, the book gets even more entertaining. Buddy, Constantine
and the others' quest to take down the Rot continues to be the most entertaining half of the book. That's not to say that Maxine's journey isn't good. With the split story, it's like watching two movies: An action movie and horror movie. Lemire expertly balances both stories in a way that doesn't seem annoying at all. As usual, Lemire's character work is the main attraction, as we get some really touching scenes throughout.

Steve Pugh and Timothy Green both do their best to match the book's two different moods. Green continues to do his best Travel Foreman impression, and Pugh's realistic style makes Buddy's dream all the more terrifying.

Animal Man #15 is a winner book, and continues to stand out among the New 52 books, with its scary content, great characters, and Socks the Cat.

STORY: 5/5

VERDICT: 5/5
