Top 5: Most Anticipated Comics of 2013

Well, 2013 is going to be a pretty big year for comics. Not only do you have movies like Iron Man 3 and the Man of Steel, but you even have books like Scott Snyder and Jim Lee's Superman, or Brian Bendis and Chris Bachalo's Uncanny X-Men! So, I compiled a list of the TOP 5 books I'm looking forward to the most, in 2013!

5. UNCANNY X-MEN
by Brian Michael Bendis and Chris Bachalo

I have very mixed feelings about Brian Michael Bendis. I loath his Avengers run, but I love his Ultimate Spider-Man and Ultimate X-Men. If he can go for the fun action movie feel of his Ultimate books with Uncanny X-Men, we're in for a real treat. Also, we get Chris Bachalo art, so I'm happy either way.

4. THE WAKE
by Scott Snyder and Sean Murphy

Scott Snyder teaming up with Sean Murphy to make their own version of James Cameron's The Abyss? Sounds good.

3. MAN OF STEEL
by Scott Snyder and Jim Lee

DC's formula for Man of Steel: Take two of your biggest creators and throw them onto your flagship character, and you got yourself a recipe for success! Hopefully we'll be getting a really good Superman book, since his other two titles are very underwhelming, and haven't done the character justice.

2. JUPITER'S CHILDREN
by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely

Mark Millar and Frank Quitely on the same book? We'll be getting issues annually... If we're lucky. Kidding. Anyway, how could I not be excited when two of my favorite creators are teaming up on one book?

1. GREEN ARROW
by Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino

So, on my Top 5 favorite books of 2012, Animal Man was named #1. Wanna guess who wrote it? Jeff Lemire. So, Green Arrow has kind of/sort of SUCKED since the beginning of the New 52. We learned the James Bond/espionage take on the character didn't work. So, Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino (a pretty freaking awesome artist) are making Green Arrow a street level vigilante. Apparently, it's going to be Kick-Ass or Super in the DCU, and frankly, that sounds very appetizing.
