TOP 10 GREATEST SUPERMAN STORIES... EVER!
(descriptions coming soon)
10 SUPERMAN: EARTH-ONE by J. Michael Stravzynski and Shane Davis
OK, I'm going to get alot of crap for this one, but I just haven't gotten why people hate it. I get that the book kind of gets washed up in Twilight style angst, but I rather enjoyed the way Clark interacted with the world. And Shane Davis's art is just awesome.
9 THE DEATH OF SUPERMAN by Dan Jurgens
If you stick to the original story and not any of the 4 Supermen crap, you're good. Because this was the book to read back in the 90's, and it really pays off in the end when you're rewarded with the title actually delivering what it promises.
8 ACTION COMICS: SUPERMAN VS THE CITY OF TOMMORROW by Grant Morrison, Rags Morales, Gene Ha, Scholly Fisch, and ChrisCross
This is a rather new title for the list, but I enjoyed the heck out of this. It's a truly original reimagining of the Superman, and you get a small dose of Krypto in every freaking flashback. Plus, the art is definitely a plus whenever Rags Morales isn't drawing. And sometimes, Scholly Fisch's backups are even more touching than the main story (I'm looking at the backup about the Kents).
7 SUPERMAN: WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE MAN OF TOMMORROW by Alan Moore
6 FINAL CRISIS: SUPERMAN BEYOND 3D by Grant Morrison and Doug Manhke
5 SUPERMAN: RED SON by Mark Millar and Dave Johnson
4 SUPERMAN: FOR ALL SEASONS by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale
3 SUPERMAN: SECRET ORIGIN by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank
2 WHAT'S SO FUNNY ABOUT TRUTH, JUSTICE, AND THE AMERICAN WAY? by Joe Kelly, Doug Manhke, and Lee Bermejo
1 ALL-STAR SUPERMAN by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely
